THE KItchen synth

the first iteration was created during November 2022.

fork , knife , spoon , plate , cup

these five objects are wired to a tiny computer

as the diner eats their meal, the objects change sonically depending on the diners movements, what cutlery is touched and which combination of cutlery to plate is used.

the goal is to create a backdrop of sound, ambiance controlled by how each person goes about eating. This project aims to extend to a dinner of 8. Each person would act as an instrument in an ensemble.
